How to Add the Veteran Designation to Your DL/ID Card

https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/de...driver_license

Recently Lowes announced a 10% discount for veteran's.
This brought very much joy to Sarah, as she is ready to reap the benefits of marrying a Veteran (helping to soften the blow of putting up with my shit)

I always keep my DD214 copies somewhat handy, but def not everywhere I go.
So after doing a bit of research I found out that CA DMV (as of Nov 2015) has a process to have the word "VETERAN" placed on your driver license!
This can and will serve as your DD214 identifying that you have served in the worlds finest military.

And to make it easier I found a former Marine that has saved us the step of going to the VA just to get the form (It is not available online).

Veteran Status Verification Form VSD-001

And here is his page which explains the process

Get those discounts Vets!

Thanks Brotha! I was going to do this at my last visit to the DMV. It cost a little coin to do it but well worth it.
